Michael R. Brooks graduated from the University of Southern California Law Center in 1993 where he externed for the Honorable John E. Ryan, United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California.  In 1990, Mr. Brooks received a B.A., cum laude in Economics from California State University, Long Beach.

After graduation from law school, Mr. Brooks began representing creditors in California. Mr. Brooks’ practice over the years focused on creditor’s rights and covers a broad range of matters from complex litigation and bankruptcy related matters. Mr. Brooks has been licensed in California since 1993. After obtaining his Nevada law license in 2000, Mr. Brooks and his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2002. While living in Nevada, Mr. Brooks continued to maintain a California presence during these years.

Mr. Brooks is very active in the mortgage servicing industry and is a member of the Board of Directors for the United Trustees Association (UTA). Mr. Brooks is the Nevada foreclosure certification instructor for the UTA. Further, Mr. Brooks is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events including the California Mortgage Bankers Association and has been a guest instructor for Lorimar Education.

Gregg A. Hubley graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1997, and received a B.S., Magna Cum Laude, from Northern Illinois University in 1994. Mr. Hubley had a gift for legal writing and litigation, and pursued activities in law school that allowed him to better hone these skills. Mr. Hubley was an Illinois State Moot Court finalist and participated in both the Appellate Defender’s Clinic and the Civil Practice Clinic, representing real clients in appeals and civil litigation while still in law school. After finishing his first year of law school, Mr. Hubley obtained a student license to practice law. He then began working for the City of Champaign, Illinois, as a prosecutor, independently handling hundreds of bench trials and several jury trials before he graduated from law school.

Mr. Hubley has practiced law exclusively in Nevada since graduating from law school, and has handled a wide variety of civil litigation. Mr. Hubley handled personal injury and Constitutional law/civil rights challenges during the first few years of practice. Mr. Hubley worked in family law for several years, primarily representing clients in complex divorce actions that required the division of large businesses and estates. Mr. Hubley was a senior associate of a national law firm, working in medical malpractice/professional negligence defense, focusing on the representation of physicians and health care institutions. Thereafter, Mr. Hubley managed the satellite office of a national law firm that focused on creditor’s rights, secured transactions and foreclosure law in Nevada. Mr. Hubley has extensive experience in appellate representation, and has several published opinions from the Nevada Supreme Court. The cases that Mr. Hubley handled helped to shape the law in Nevada relative to the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program and, more generally, foreclosures in Nevada.

Mr. Hubley has authored numerous professional articles on medical malpractice issues and foreclosure law in Nevada. Additionally, Mr. Hubley has been an instructor at Nevada Continuing Legal Education seminars and has presented at creditor’s industry conferences, such as the California Mortgage Bankers Association.
